Mexico and back again.
So... I haven't been in Samara the WHOLE time. I actually left here for christmas. It was interesting to leave the place I had grown so fond of over the last couple of weeks but I knew what I had in store was going to be great as well!
Now so you know, I went into this trip bright eyed and bushy tailed, but I was not prepared for the culture shock I was about to receive.
DF- I arrive at about 11am- all on time. But first I had to leave Samara on the 17th to travel to San Jose via bus- stay at a hostel wake up at 1:30 am- shower take a taxi to the bus stop- realize the Coca-Cola bus station in down town Chepe, at 3am is not really the place that I want to be so I splurge and take a cab to the airport- get there- wait for the airline people to show up. Hope on the plane- get to El Salvador- all is well- next stop DF. When I get there Ruben is waiting :) what a gentleman... Then we took the bus to San Luis Potosi- woah- I hadn't seen so many cars in a long long time. I left really out of place- people, cars, buses, music, food, desert- soo many different things I really wasn't prepared for this. I really couldn't evevn explain it, I just felt out of place. Perhaps too it was because I was missing the water-
Growning up next to Lake Superior has definitly SPOILED me! And living on the beach in Costa Rica hasn't made things any easier. But it was a nice feeling to be in Mexico. My 5th time there! :) ANd I have to say-- I have had a lot of foods in the world, but MEXICAN is one of the best- and Im not talking tacos and burritos- but the moles and the sopes and the tortillas- OH my mouth is watering just thinking about it... YUMMERS.....
Okay- so Im in Mexico freezing my buns off- it wasnt even that cold, but I was used to a hot and humid climate so to change to a desert was a big step.
