hasta entonce.
Good bye, actually I prefer "see you later", and I wish I had paid more attention in Native American studies at BHS because then I could spell "gigi wa bo men" correctly, but the meaning is still there "see you later". I'm on the same page with them because I feel that "good bye" is quite serious and seems so bleak, like the chances of seeing someone again are slim to none, but trust me, I know this is not good bye. Although I do leave tomorrow....
Currently Im trying to tie up lose ends, send last minute cards and re-evaluate my packing. I went to a nice get together the other day and I received some excellent advice from some seasoned travelers, (you know who you are- Thank you- "gigi wa bo men") Anyhow- I really don't know when or where my trip will "END" which is good because this life is a trip- at any stage- and I know I'm not looking for and end yet- maybe just a couple of roots- tap roots- that can hold on to one place for a while. As for now I'm excited that my gears are turning and that wednesday night I'll be in San Jose Costa Rica!- I haven't been there in 2yrs- I'm curious to see what has changed.
Speaking of CR... This man the other day said "I don't know if I would like Costa Rica as much because it seems more tame then other places, like Mexico".... I didn't really know how to respond, but I think it's better that I didn't. It remind me of the book "Into the Wild" by John Krakauer- (also made into a Major Motion Picture-I recommend both)- so in this book a young man ventures into "the WILD", and long story short, the WILD it claims his life (I didn't give it away, most people know the story). Some critics ridicule him because it turns out the WILD he had lost his life to really was only about 6miles from either cottages or a main road. BUT he had chosen to separate himself from that civilization and with that, he had entered the "WILD". Now I'm not saying that I chose to LOSE myself in the WILDS of Central and South America- actually sounds pretty cool, but what I am saying is that everything is what you make it, and as far as tame.... I suppose parts could be tame- resorts, all-incusives etc, but does that make Ashland more tame then Bayfield because they have a "wal-mart" and a few Car dealerships or what?- thus Corni would be the most tame- or wait! ULU or INO!? EEEK tameness! hehe- but I digress....
As for now- back to packing, i'm going backpacking :)
